Hey Nila - thanks for stopping by! Things are going surprisingly well with my short stories, but the novel... well, it's been shelved for a long while now. Frankly, the thought of opening back up that 170k word behemoth is pretty daunting. And, to make it marketable, I know I'll either have to find some way to chop out 50k words (my babies!), or somehow figure out how to split it into two books. Neither of which sounds particularly fun. Add to that the fact that my writing in it feels a little 'dated' (ie, pretty 'meh'), I think it may remain on the shelf for a bit longer.

Anyway, hope 'the gang' over at SFFWorld is doing well. I really need to stop back over there at some point - it was such a huge part of my improvement, and, more importantly, a lot of fun.

Hey Rich, Glad to see you doing so well. It is well deserved. Are you still working on that novel?

Sweet sauce! If I had some more cash, I would buy a story, but I am currently making my own. See you when it's too late... for you.

Poor other sister. The story makes me hungry for justice. And steak. And more time on the field.

I liked this story. I do think the artwork is well-suited for the story. I don't mean to give away the ending, but Bruce Willis was dead the entire time.

Glad you liked it, Chris - thanks for stopping over to say as much (I truly do appreciate it).

I certainly debated extending the story (it's a quick one, clocking in barely over the flash fiction threshold), but I wasn't sure the humor would carry for a longer piece. It may be one of those stories I revisit/lengthen at a future date, based on the feedback I'm receiving...

I really enjoyed this one Rich. While it felt just a little too short lived, it was very entertaining.
